High-entropy oxides provide an effective strategy for regulating oxygen vacancies and improving syngas activation. Herein, a Zn-Al-Cr-Mn-Ga high-entropy spinel oxide (ZACMG) was synthesized by a parallel co-precipitation method and coupled with SAPO-34 to construct an oxide- zeolite (OX-ZEO) bifunctional catalyst for the conversion of light olefins (C2-C4=). Compared with binary oxides, the ZACMG exhibits abundant oxygen vacancies, enhanced CO adsorption, and superior H2 activation capability while preserving a stable spinel structure. As a result, ZACMG/SAPO-34 achieves a CO conversion of 44.4% with a C2-C4= selectivity of 80.8% at 400 °C, 3.0 MPa and a GHSV of 6000 mL•g−1•h−1, and remains stable over 100 h on stream. The enhanced catalytic performance originates from the synergistic regulation of oxygen vacancies and surface properties by the multicomponent high-entropy structure rather than configurational entropy alone. This work demonstrates the potential of high-entropy oxide design for developing efficient OX-ZEO catalysts for syngas conversion.
