Abstract

Presented in this paper is a new kind of splenic salvage operationvascularized heterotopic hemisplenic autotransplantation in dogs. All the experimental operations on 10 dogs met with success. The technique of surgery, operative complications and maintenance of splenic function of grafts are discussed. The authors believe that the operation is safe and clinically employable.
