Effects of seven insecticides on rat hepatic microsomal enzymes
Seven days after seven insecticides had been administered separately to the rats by oral intubation, a study was made of the content of cytochrome P-450 and b5, activity of aminopyrine N-demethylase, ethylmorphine N-demethylase and aniline hydroxylase in their hepatic microsomes, and pentobarbital sleeping time was measured. The results thus obtained showed that DDT, TCVP and mipcin increased the activity of hepatic microsomal enzymes, while chlordimeform and malathion decreased it. However, no effect of cartap and tsumacide on hepatic microsomal enzymes was observed.
DDT / tetrachlorvinphos / mipcin / malathion / cartap / chlordimeform / tsumacide / hepatic microsomal enzymes / cytochrome P-450 / cytochrome b5 / aminopyrine N-demethylase / ethylmorphine N-demethylase / aniline hydroxylase
