The technique allowing to perform a selection of rational blank with high accuracy is developed. The conclusion according to the results of research is made.

The article suggests a method of express-diagnostics of the roughness of the surface layer of machine parts and shows its efficiency. The authors developed a graphical probabilistic model, providing high quality of diagnosis with small number of statistical data. Express diagnostics performs determination of the quality of surface layer on basis of profilogram classification. The diagnostic process is running as the comparison of profilograms with prepared models of different classes of roughness using statistical sampling. Program realization of the model is developed, specialists were trained and experimentally investigated the accuracy of the diagnostics.
The article presents a theoretical analysis of methods of cost optimization of die forging.
The article presents the results of laboratory tests of dispersed-filled composites. Tests on friction and wear were performed using “disk - pad” and “rotating bushing on disk” schemes. There is high compatibility of materials in friction pairs of composite material and steel and their advantages over a pair of bronze and steel in terms of wear and maximum working load, and also stability of the coefficient of friction in operation mode, and also stability of the latter as the load increases. It is shown that the increase in size and volume content of particles in the matrix reduces wear of parts of composite material, however, this increases the wear paired counterface and friction coefficient.

The author considers the nature of wear and tear of multifaceted perishable carbide inserts in turning of experimental high-carbon alloy steel 75ХГСФ. Recommendations on choosing the form of inserts, angles of cutting part and types of wear-resistant coatings for flank and face surfaces are given.

Rational use of effective cutting fluid is an important factor in improving of productivity and quality of metal working. Effect of cutting fluid depends on the rational choice of the specific conditions of the cutting, the predominant type of tool wear and tool and base material. In PJSC RPA “CNIITMASH” a complex of works on testing of a wide range of cutting fluids was carried out and recommendations for their use were developed

The article describes the possibilities of improving the technology of manufacture of modified globoidal gears with localized contact patch. A technology of modified globoid gear, localization of a contact patch, and design of the cutting tool for cutting of globoidal worms and gears are developed.
The design of a new gearbox for a coal shearer is developed. The authors developed and implemented a technology of gear manufacturing from new steels 18Х2Н4МАА and 38ХН3МФАА, providing the increase of gear’s life time. Research and bench tests of a gearbox for mining combine confirmed the benefits of design, technological solutions and new steels.
In PJSC RPA “CNIITMASH” the authors together with JSC “ZiO - Podolsk” conducted a series of research work on the influence of technology of hole processing in reservoirs of steam generators and chambers of modules on the status of a surface layer and operational properties of products. Recommendations on processing of deep holes and fixing of tubes in the heat-exchange equipment for nuclear power units are developed.

The paper substantiates the necessity of application of artificial intelligence methods in technological design. The methods of synthesis of technological part’s model are considered. The information needed for subsequent technological design is defined. The methods of automated building process for technological part’s model based on a drawing and three-dimensional model are chosen.
The work presents the results of the analysis of the bevel cutting as sufficiently general case of the cutting process. The analysis is made by power method with the use of extreme provisions of continuum mechanics. The cutting process is considered as the aggregate of two simultaneously occurring acts - chip formation and continuous formation of new surfaces. There are two such surfaces: the processed surface of a workpiece and the outer surface of the chip. In addition, this work contains the results of comparative calculations of cutting force made by the method of finite elements in the DEFORM-3D and results of experimental studies conducted in laboratory conditions.

The article presents the experience of using dimensional analysis of the adaptive optimization of repair technological process for aggregates of automobile transmission. There is also discussed the method of experimental determination of the necessary size of the compensator for correct positioning toothed gears in the transmission.
The article considers the relevance of the dynamometers use by machine-building enterprises and educational institutions for the determination of the cutting forces during machining. There are mentioned technical and operational requirements of the modern measurement dynamometer systems. The characteristics of the dynamometer Dyna-Z for measuring the tangential component of the cutting force during turning were shown. There is also mentioned the experimental data for definition the increase of cutting force Pz, caused by the deterioration of the tool during long operations.
The article analyzes the influence of technological conditions of the pendulum and depth grinding on parameters of resistance to fatigue. There was proposed an effective method of details treatment ensuring the required level of fatigue limit.
The problems arising when machining workpieces made of tough materials are considered in article. There is proposed to use the parameters of surface roughness, which have a significant impact on the operational properties of machines parts for the evaluation of the quality of the surface layer. The methods of calculation of these parameters when machining are shown. There are presented the methods of selecting the optimal cutting modes in turning, allowing to reduce the cost of processing and to ensure the required parameters of surface quality.
The paper is devoted to assembly technologies improvement of the rotor GTE of mixed type, which is one of the most popular design solutions nowadays.
The article presents the results of the influence of temperature and deformation during snap temper of structural steel 38ХН3МФА. It is shown that 300°С and 500°С deformation temperatures of 300 and 500° significantly increases the durability characteristics, but decreases the flexibility. The subsequent after deformation snap temper at a temperature 560°С has a positive effect on the mechanical properties complex.
