An iron-coordinated covalent triazine polymer-derived Fe–Nx nanoparticle-embedded nitrogen-doped carbon nanofloret composite is successfully designed by Liu and co-workers. Thanks to its abundant Fe–Nx nanoparticles active centers and large specific surface area, the optimal Fe/N@-CNF-800 can readily work as an efficient pH-universal electrochemical oxygen reduction catalyst for a high-performance zinc-air battery.
