Dear Editorial Board Members, Authors, Readers, and Reviewers,
Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering (FSCE) will be officially renamed to ENGINEERING Structure and Civil Engineering (ESCE) from January 1st, 2026. This transition is part of a strategic initiative led by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) to highlight the brand image of the Engineering journal family. The move aims to enhance the journal's identity, boost its visibility, and elevate ites international influence.
Please be assured that:
² ESCE will retain FSCE’s status in the SCIE database and the transactions of Chinses Academy of Engineering. That is, papers published on ESCE will be indexed by SCIE without interruption, the same applies to articles published in FSCE.
² All citations and DOls will be preserved and automatically forwarded to the new title, no action is required from you or your institution.
² A new lSSN will be assigned to ESCE, but the former ISSN of FSCE will always be linked to the historical archive. Your article's DOl and bibliographic record will remain stable and traceable.
² The journal's editorial office, editorial board, and submission system remain unchanged.
However, according to Journal Citation Reports (JCR), ESCE will obtain its first annual Impact Factor in 2028 and its first complete Impact Factor in 2029. Currently, FSCE has gained an Impact Factor of 3.1 and ranked in the JCR Q2 category. With the constant supports from our authors, reviewers, and editors, we believe, ESCE will continue and even broaden the impact.
It is thus worth noting that your paper, once accepted, will be possibly published on ESCE. So we kindly notice you to decide whether to continue your submission.
We sincerely appreciate your trust, support, and attention to our journal and look forward to your submissions regarding frontier research results to our future as ENGINEERING Structure and Civil Engineering.
Best regards,
The Editorial Office
