Aims & scope

Engineering Artificial Intelligence is a peer-reviewed international journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, administered by the Harbin Institute of Technology, and published by Higher Education Press. With Academician Jie Chen and Ben M. Chen as Editor-in-Chief, it presents a unique platform for reporting frontier research on artificial intelligence and its transformative impact on engineering. It aims to promote rapid communication and cross-disciplinary dialogue among researchers, scientists, engineers, and data scientists working to solve complex engineering problems through intelligent technologies.

The Journal publishes review, original research, and perspectives by individual researchers and research groups. All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process, and only original manuscripts in English are considered.

The scope of the Journal covers both AI theoretical research and engineering applications, including but not limited to the following areas:

² Foundation Models and Large Language Models

² Generative AI

² World Models

² Human-AI Collaboration

² Physics-informed AI

² AI Agents, Autonomous Systems, and Multi-Agent Systems

² Robotics and Embodied Intelligence

² Artificial Intelligence Theory and Methods

² Trustworthy, Explainable, and Responsible AI

² AI for Engineering Systems and Industrial Applications

² AI for Transportation, Infrastructure, and Energy Systems

² AI for Digital Twins and Cyber-Physical Systems

² AI for Autonomous Driving and Intelligent Vehicles

......

Interdisciplinary papers demonstrating the practical implementation of AI in engineering systems are particularly encouraged.
