State of lipidmetabolism for the boy,living in the region iodinedeficiency

Abstract

The effect of subclinical thyroid function on the lipid spectrum of blood serum of young men living iniodine deficiency region. The study involved 58 adolescents aged 15-18 years. Found that an increase inTSH levels tended to change direction in the atherogenic lipid spectrum, compared with persons withnormal TSH. Identify linkages proved to be positive on all counts and the most pronounced betweenTSH and the level of triglycerides, α-cholesterol, pre-β-cholesterol. Thus, adequate correction of iodinedeficiency can be attributed to a number of preventive measures to reduce the incidence ofcardiovascular disease.
