Abstract
The objective of this paper was to prepare paclitaxel-loaded microspheres, a kind of target-orientation anticancer drug. The paclitaxel-loaded microspheres were prepared with magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles and taxol. The morphology was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the average size and the size distribution were determined by a laser-size distributing instrument. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to measure the paclitaxel content. Experimental results indicated that the effective drug loading and the entrapment ratio of paclitaxel-loaded microspheres were 1.83% and 92.62%, respectively.
