Abstract

Onshore wind turbines are evolving towards larger capacities. Compared with the traditional integrated rotor lifting method, the segmented single-blade lifting technology offers distinct characteristics and significant advantages, aligning better with the development trend of large-scale onshore wind turbines. This paper provides a comprehensive review of blade lifting technologies for large onshore wind turbines in China, summarizing the research progress and practical applications of both integrated and segmented lifting approaches. A detailed comparison of their technical features is presented, along with an in-depth discussion of key technical challenges related to single-blade lifting, including the development of specialized lifting fixtures, turning gear tooling, wind speed limitations during operations, and relevant construction standards. This study aims to serve as a valuable reference for future research and technological advancements in blade lifting for large onshore wind turbines.
