    The status, R & D tendency and commercialization prospect of electric vehicles (EVs), their power sources (nickel-metal hydride batteries, lithium ion secondary batteries, proton exchange membrane fuel cell, solid oxide fuel cell) and relevant battery (cell) materials are elucidated. Electric vehicle as a viable alternative to petrol-engine cars and hydrogen energy as an alternative energy source to carbon-based fuels is an important development direction for transportation.

    Spirulina is a kind of the most ancient pronucleus photosynthetic living things. Through many years of multiple points indoor and outdoor experiments and research, it has been proved the application technology of the TA emulsion powder for the promotion of superior quality and high yield of spirulina . In the factory mode of production of spirulina, 0.01〜0.02 mg/L emulsion powder is added into the culture pool. It cannot onlg promote the cell fission of spirulina , the proliferation and growth of spirulina thread, the raise of pure rate of photosynthesis and accumulation of dry substance, but also strengthen the activity of nitric reductase and respiratory intensity of spirulina ,and remarkably increase the content of protein, amino acid, pheophytin β-carotene, chlorophyll and carotenoid. At the same time, it significantly improve the quality and the biological yield of Spirulina. The amount of yield increase can be up to 1.19〜1.76 g/d·m2, the yield increase rate is 20%〜30 % . To apply TA emulsion powder as the cultivation regulator and the cultivation technology is a new creation and the prospect of the application is cheerful.

    Because of the development of the regularization, standardization, marketization of project bidding and tendering, and considering of the significance of bidding to construction corporations, a project bidding decision support system is developed supported by forecast theory, decision-making theory, game theory and computer science. The system is based on the practical flow of project bidding and the whole process. The paper discusses the structure, the function, the technologies that make the system comes true and the application of the system. The system can help construction corporations in consultation of information, selecting project, establishing the total price and interior adjusting of bidding price, presenting standard bidding report.

    According to the dissipative structure theory, human has much in common with man-made machine, and there is much in resemblance between disease healing of human and fault overcoming of machine. Under the light of the systemics, by introducing the methodology of medical science into the field of machine fault diagnosis, prediction and prevention, it is possible to build a new theory of PME (Plant Medicine Engineering) to prevent and eliminate faults of machine by engineering means. Some common issues, such as the forming of diseases and faults, how to diagnose those diseases and faults, the deep rule concerning the causes and mechanisms of faults and diseases, comparison between curing and self-healing, and between the dealing of symptoms and that of initial causes, etc. , were discussed in this paper. A novel “crystal box approach” of PME, which is based on the piths of both “black-box approach” of traditional Chinese medical theory and uwhite-box approach^ of modern west medical science, was put forth. Lastly, from the view point df PME, some pitfalls in current studies about fault diagnosis are discussed.

    The curve of environmental impact in the process of economic growth in developed countries was likened to “environmental mountain”. For developing countries, particularly China, the right way of economic development is going through the “environmental mountain” on the halfway up the mountain - a new way for industrialization. The formulas of the relationship between environmental impact and GDP were derived, in which there are 2 key variables: g—growth rate of GDP; t—decreasing rate of environmental impact per unit GDP. Taking several countries and provinces in China as examples, the relationships between economic growth and energy consumption were studied. The environmental impacts of China in the years 2005, 2010 and 2020 were anticipated under different assumptions, and further discussion was given in terms of energy consumption.

    Two model tests for pylon´s anchorage zone of two long-span cable-stayed bridges, the Second Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and the Runyang Yangtze River Bridge, are expounded in this paper. Safety factors for cracking and ultimate strength are obtained. The optimal configuration of prestress tendons in anchorage zone, and the emulation effects of segment model test to integral pylon are investigated. The results can be a reference for the design of pylon of cable-stayed bridges.

    The computer network is not only of benefit to the people, but also helpful for the spreading of viruses. The net-viruses spread more widely and rapidly than the traditional viruses, and network has become the major way of the virus spreading. This article analyzes the mode of the net-virus spreading, including E-mail spreading, positive scanning spreading and through-server spreading. Then some defense strategies in the antivirus field are introduced, and some countermeasures of the net computer users are discussed.

    In this paper, the concepts of rough sets are used to define equivalence classes encoding input data sets, and eliminate redundant or insignificant attributes in data sets so that to reduce the complexity of system construction. In order to deal with ill-defined or real experimental data, an input object is represented as a fuzzy variable by fuzzy membership function, and the significant factor of the input feature corresponding to output pattern classification is incorporated to constitute a fuzzy inference so that to enhance nonlinear mapping classification. A new kind of rough fuzzy neural classifier and a learning algorithm with LSE are proposed in this paper. A integration of the merits of fuzzy and neural network technologies can not only accommodate overlapping classification and therefore increase the performance of nonlinear mapping classification, but ensure more efficiently to handle real life ambiguous and changing situations and to achieve tractability, robustness, and low-cost solutions.

    A simple model was built to describe the well-stratified compartment fire, by which the temperature rise of steel element was investigated. Pool fire experiments were carried out in a full-scale compartment. With different plume and spill plume correlations, the temperature development of the enclosure and steel element were modeled, then the applicability of plume models and factors affecting the calculation were analyzed. Finally, such method was put to use for design fires of a steel-structured retail shop in an airport terminal building.

    For construction organization plan, the optimized allocation and overall balance of earth is of great significance to reduce the project cost and ensure the construction period in the construction of rock-fill dam. Because of the characteristic of being influenced or constrained by time-space, a new method of changing its dynamic into static is presented with the system analysis based on the exising research. Meanwhile, Linear Programming is introduced to solve the problem. In order to strengthen the commonness and agility of model, some human interventions are in an in-depth and particular consideration in building the mathematics model. And then for the expression of results, Geographic Information System (GIS) is referred to demonstrate the allocation process with graph or animation to avoid its powerless expression. With the help of powerful VC+ + , corresponding software is drawn up, whose interface is friendly operation is easy and applicability is preferable. At last a large-scale rock-fill dam is illustrated. The successful application of the software to it shows the reasonability and effectiveness of the method.

    Based on the structure of 6 - TPS parallel kinematic machine tools (PKMTs) with 6 degrees of freedom (DOF), the theory and procedure to generate control data is introduced. On the basis of above analysis, the functions and framework of a postprocessor for this type of machine tools is designed. Some important methods for carrying out the postprocessing of the machine are researched and demonstrated, including inner data transfer protocol by parameterized binary data, interpolating algorithm in Descartes coordinate system, planar and spatial tool radius compensation, preprocessing of cutter location data, and word and syntax check of machining codes. Finally, a real machining experiment on the system mentioned above is introduced. The result shows that it can be successfully used in real manufacturing environment.
