    Applying the traditional Chinese whole view thought and the principles of the modern statistics, meteorology and seismology, it is found that most natural disasters of a sudden (include the extraordinary rainstorm, typhoon sudden change, impending violent earthquake,volcanic eruption, etc. ) are triggered by tide-generating force resonance at collinearity of three stars when the internal conditions are satisfied. Using the internal-external cause coupling method to predict extraordinary rainstorms and impending violent earthquakes, the success rate is respectively about 72.7 % and 40 % . This study program include serie observation experiments to test whether there exist amplifications of the gravitational force and the electromagnetic force at the time of collinearity of three stars and sets up the forecasting mode of extraordinary rainstorm.

    This paper, proceeding from China's actual conditions, holds that in the construction of Beijing — Shanghai express railway China should choose “the optimal” instead of “the fastest”. For the long and medium distance the passenger train which “starts at sunset and arrives at daybreak” has the optimal cost performance. The paper maintains that the electrified fast-speed wheel/rail system with a speed of 200 km per hour should be the best choice for China*s railway development. It accords with not only the demands of the development of real socio-economic base of China, which is vast in territory, but also the demands of the future development of China and the world as well. In the time with increasing energy crisis, the maglev train with speed of 400 km per hour and the high-speed rail system with speed of 300 km per hour will lead to the unbearable wastes of socio-economic resources and huge loss in operation.

    This paper presents a novel variable speed constant frequency doubly fed salient pole synchronous machine by patent. It deals with basic theory and construction of variable speed salient pole synchronous machines, especially on variable speed constant frequency characteristics. The split salient pole and orthogonal winding are adopted in rotor. The structure of the rotor is simple and tried. Variable frequency converter at rotor supplies the excitation winding. It makes machine to achieve good character of variable speed constant frequency. Experiments show that the patent is correct and practical through prototype test. It will be widely applied to large waterpower and wind power generators.

    In this paper, a combined decision-making model is presented for dealing with uncertain and imprecise problems, based on the difference between fuzzy sets and rough sets theories. The model is firstly to classify the uncertain examples given using fuzzy clustering analysis, to make a decision table specified,and then to simplify the decision table by means of the rough sets theory. It gives all possible minimal decision algorithms associated with the decision table. These decision algorithms have found application in larger field.

    In this paper, a model for spatial nonlinear optimization programming to obtain the prestresses of cables in the cable-stayed bridge is established, in which the bending strain energy of the beams for the bridge and the cable tower is the objective function, and structural stresses and the cable forces are the constraint conditions. In order to determine the prestresses of the cables of the bridge, the first order optimization method is used to solve the program. This method is used to obtain set of optimal cable tensions of a thousand-meter scale cable-stayed bridge under permanent loads, and the result of analysis showed that the method is easy to apply and effective.

    In this paper, an elevator running model based on timed-coloured Petri net is proposed. The running of elevator is classified according to the model. The running of elevator is controlled by the command of controller. And the command of controller is composed of the color aggregates which have a connection with the running states of elevator. In the end, an example of the application of the model in single elevator system and the elevator group control system is given.

    Based on the unified estimation-theoretic framework, an effective method of using the gradual Gaussian multidimensional pre-filter to improve the optical flow estimation is presented. The pre-filtering and smoothing effect, which attenuate the temporal aliasing and the interesting signal structure of the optical flow field, are altered with adjusting the spatiotemporal standard deviation parameters. The first 50 frames of the standard Flower Garden and Football video sequence are tested as the reference image sequences, and the LK algorithm as the reference optical flow computing method. Experimental results in objective evaluation show that the optimum temporal standard deviation parameter is 0.4, the optimum spatial standard deviation parameter is in a range of 1.6~2.0 under the condition that the pre-filtering window size is 5 × 5 pixels. After pre-filtering the image sequence by the Gaussian multidimensional filter, the average PSNR of the reconstructed frames enhance 2.572 dB, higher than that using the standard optical flow computing method by nearly 13.6 % .

    More and more people pay attention to the electric power generation technology using fuel cells. The zinc-air fuel cell power station technology is introduced in this paper. The detachable electrode technology is employed for manufacturing the largest single cell in the world. Another character of the power station is the separation circulation technology, which improves the general efficiency of the power station. The relevant parameters of the power station are also given in the paper.

    A novel approach which can solve complex packing problems is proposed. It solves the complex packing problems in two steps: Firstly, the volume-maximizing loading is carried out according to some heuristic rules, and the loading space is divided into many layers according to the cargo in depth direction, and each layer will then be decomposed. Secondly, the position of the center of gravity is adjusted optimally by genetic algorithm, so as to make the packing result more fit for practice. The practical result shows that it is better than other packing approaches in terms of the usage rate of space, the center of gravity and the calculating efficiency.

    In this paper, the ventilation methods of kitchen in residence are classified into three kinds (“一”,“L” and “Z”). Mechanical ventilation must be adopted in the kitchen in residence. The ventilational characteristics are studied with the help of CFD analysis method. In the aspects of building design, if inlets and outlets of the kitchen in residence were well arranged, a good airflow distribution would be acquired, the contamination in kitchen would be exhausted effectively and the indoor air quantity of the kitchen would be improved.

    Dynamic routing and wavelength assignment in the WDM networks with.both dynamic service traffic and limited-range wavelength conversion have been discussed. According to probability and limitation of wavelength conversion, a novel heuristic algorithm, which could achieve dynamic minimum cost routing and optimal virtual wavelength path, DMC - OVWP, is proposed based on Moone-Dijkstra algorithm. With separation and combination of routing and wavelength assignment subproblems, the algorithm optimizes RWA problem. The results simulating CERNET using the algorithm show that low blocking probability has been obtained.

    The emergence of distributed energy system is a matter of great significance relating to implementation of sustainable strategy. As proposed by the author, distributed energy system(DES)is defined as an electric power total system compatible with environment, sited in or in the vicinity of the consumer center area without bulk and/or remote power transmission. The DES concept allows people to build and operate energy system on total energy basis and thus facilitates demand side management as well as a more intelligent use of energy. It is considered essential for fossil fueled DES that energy is utilized in a cascade way matching the energy quality supplied and needed. DES also opens the most effective way of implementation of Combined Heat & Power as well as multi-generation. While the preferable choice of primary energy might be the clean fuel such as natural gas, but from the long-term point of view, the clean coal technology should not be excluded from the DES category. Although there is a great deal of interest in micro-turbines at the moment, combustion engines still have their tremendous potential for DES application.

    For accomplishing the need of S-band satellite tracking, telemetry and control (TT & C) drilling, the simulation system is put forward. Firstly, according to the characteristics of space TT & C system and S-band TT&C equipments, composing and function of the simulation system are defined. The main part of the simulation system is described in detail. Secondly, those of the simulation system, such as the work mode, the main technique specification, the interface regulation, are confirmed. Finally, combining with the actual application, the simulation system that based on hardware-in-the-loop mathematics model is proved to reach equipollence on data layer by contrast to engineering satellite. At the same time, the development tendency of TT&C simulation system is prospected.

    This paper summarizes the status and problems of production of synthetic rutile and sponge titanium and discusses the restricting factors of titanium production. Experiments have been, conducted on preparation of synthetic rutile by pressure leaching and the content of TiO2 of the rutile is more than 96%. The production of sponge titanium by molten-salt electrolysis is under research.
