  • “Water Resources in Northeast China” Project Group,CAE

    Northeast China refers to the region including Liaoning Province, Jilin Province, Heilongjiang Province and the northeastern past of inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, i. e. Chifeng City, Tongliao City, Xing an League and Hulun Buir City. Covering an area of 124×104km2with a population of 119 million, this region features developed industries, biggest forest zone arid best grassland in China. It is the largest commodity grain base as well. However, the decades-long crude production and extensive management has resulted in the decline of part of industries and agriculture and the degradation of environment, such as the exhaustion of the fellable forest; the degeneration, desertification and salinization of grassland; the serious loss of black earth; the pollution of water sesources, the dry up of rivers and the decrease of wetland; the environmental problems in abandoned mining areas. The only choice for reinvigorating the northeast China old industrial base is to change the economic growth pattern timely and build the resource-conservation and environment-friendly society. The author brings forward eight strategic proposals: not increasing the total area of arable land, not decreasing the area of forest, grassland and wetland, and rationally controlling the land for urban and industrial use; tapping the huge potential of agriculture and building China's largest agricultural product base; taking further measures to ensure the sustainable development of the forest industry; promoting the urbanization process and properly address urban water resources crisis and preventing geological disasters in coal mine-based cities; enhancing geological prospecting to consolidate the guarantee of resources; protecting water environment and preventing water from pollution; controlling the use of water for socio-economic purpose in the western part of the region so as to protect the ecological environment; rationally allocating water resources to contribute the harmonious development between man and nature.

    ECIWO Theory is an important discovery. It gives a brand-new viewon on biology. ECIWO Theory can solve some problems in gene transfer, which opens a new path to biological genetic operation. The paper discussed the theoretical basis and technical principle of ECIWO gene engineering, which is based on ECIWO Theory, analyzed essence and key of the technology, brought forward operation scheme, and described the future of its application.

    Based on the system theories, this paper discusses the characteristics of complex information system under the strong restraint and strong antagonism conditions and proposes a novel method of constructing complex information system, i. e. multi-living agent method ( MLAM) . Then, the relationship and the difference between the fundamental meaning of MLAM and the existing system theories are studied. Finally, the research scopes of MLAM are outlined and two examples are given to illustrate this method. It is hoped that the proposal of MLAM can help develop a new research field and more people devote to this field.

    Based on the reversible and tracking record characters of the earth satellite remote sensing data for the observed object, the 20-years(1985—2005) consecutive monitoring on the Goulucuo Lake, located in the hinterland of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau, was carried out. The long time observation records and the continuous variation sequences were built up. The motion phenomenon and the self-organizing dissipative structure of the natural evolution process of the lake water were deciphered. The random evolution process and the motion locus of the lake were depicted with the employment of the system attractor and the fractal dimention. The motion process and the geodynamics mechanism of the dynamic change of the lakes in Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau region were expounded. The results may provide information for the scientific recognition of the responding events to the climate environment recorded by the inland lakes and global change analysis.

    Message transmission of CAN bus fixed priority static scheduling algorithm ( FPS) is unpredictable, and low priority message is easily blocked. To solve these problems, a new fixed priority scheduling based on time-triggered architecture (TT - FPS) is presented, and the approach for calculating the worst-case response time of TT - FPS is given. The performance analysis of TT - FPS based on electric vehicle message model is given, and the experiment results prove that the TT - FPS is superior to FPS.

    The paper presents a novel method for demodulating the binary phase shift keying (BPSK) signals basing on adaptive filtering. The commonly used least mean square (LMS) error adaptive filtering algorithm is employed for studying the demodulating procedure and the performance of the novel adaptive BPSK demodulation. The novel adaptive BPSK demodulation does not need the adaptive filter completing convergence. The performance of the method in theory is compared with computer simulating results. It shows that the error rates in simulation agree well with that in theory. Also, it is indicated that the demodulation method has many advantages over conventional ones, such as the powerful anti-noise ability, the small transfer delay, and the convenient implementation with DSP technology, and has lower error rates than correlation modulation at the same sample rate.

    Design structure matrix is applied to the collaborative design process for complex products. The recognition problem of coupling activities in DSM can be solved by graph theory knowledge. And a method for reconfiguration of DSM blocking is presented according to the principles. Then, reengineering for a design process is proposed by decomposing and tearing the blocked activities to shorten the cycle of design and reduce the cost of development. Finally, a case, the aircraft design process reconfiguration with DSM, is presented.

    Violent earthquake waves will be produced when an underground spherically packed explosive is blasted, and their propagation mode is affected by many factors. Based on finite difference method coupled with the famous elastic-plastic cap model of rock, numerical simulation and analyses for the propagation and evolution mechanism of 1 D detonated wave are done. The emphasis is put on the waves propagated from hard rocks into soft rocks, or from soft rocks into hard rocks. At the same time, the influences of weak intercalated bed between rock masses on 1 D stress-waves are also discussed.

    The quasi-static and dynamic compression properties of carbon fiber-reinforced phenolic composite are investigated by a series of MTS and SHPB tests. The results show that the material is rate-dependent and temperature-dependent. A new nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive model is proposed and the coefficients in the constitutive equation are obtained by the experiment stress-strain curves. The influence of temperature on the constitutive equation is remarkable, and its effects can be described by the material parameters related to temperature. Based on the consideration that the responses of the material to reducing strain rate and raising temperature are similar, the time-temperature equivalent law is investigaled and the corresponding equivalent curve under different loading conditions is approached.

    A higher moment method with the basis of Chebyshev polynomial { Tk(x)} is presented, which is used in the reliability analysis of engineering structures. The equations of optimal probability density function of stochastic variable or limit state function are derived by use of the higher moments of the function. Subsequently, a reliability index or failure probability of the engineering structures can be calculated. From the comparison of the classical distribution function and the failure probability for the components, this method is proved to be valuable and practicable in engineering application.

    In order to get rid of the dependence on the designers* experience, exploring a science- based design methodology becomes one of the research kernels. The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving and Axiomatic Design have lately gained popularity as they are developed based on scientific principles. In this paper, the relationship and differences between these two design methodologies are analyzed, and one integrated design model for the concept design phase is established. Finally, two cases are given to testify the feasibility of the proposed model.

    The treatment and disposal of WEEE in China is forging ahead into commercial practice steadily. The state-of-art of WEEE recycling approaches both at home and abroad were summarized. According to circular economy thinking and China´s current situation, four essential principles for the selecting of WEEE recycling technical route were presented. A conceptual process flow model was established as well. Potential barriers to the implementation of this technical route were also analyzed and resolutions were proposed.

    The segmentation for moving pictures is important in content-based video encoding and video retrieval. The method of moving object segmentation is proposed with spatio-temporal threshold information. The method does well in functional agility. Its alterability depends on real conditions. The experiments show that the method can get a better result with less runtime.

    The full scale simulation cabin and pumping pressure water mist system were employed to study the validity of the obstacle fires extinguishment by water mist on the conditions of different obstacles baffles. The validity of water mist system and main influencing factors on the extinguishment of the obstacle heptanes fires were analyzed. FDS (4.0.5) was employed to study the interaction of the water mist and obstacle oil fires and the extinguishing rules and factors were determined primarily. The experimental and simulation results show that the structure and style of the obstacle fires are important to influence the validity of the obstacle fires extinguishment by water mist. The more the water mist is entrained by the airflow, the more effective of the extinguishment by water mist.

    During designing a building, the design of evacuation is very important. The rationality of the design of evacuation determines whether people can evacuate from buildings. But the existing criterion does not relate to how to evaluate rationality of various designs of evacuation. This paper advances a method which uses the using rate of unit effective evacuation width as the major parameter to reflect the difference of various designs. And this method can give advices to adjust the design to profit personal evacuation.

    Urokinase-type plasminogen actor (uPA)system is a essential member of plasmin system. uPA system participates in the reconstruction of tissues and immigration of tumor cells by the degradation of the extracellular matrix, and then takes a important role in the invasion and metastasis of malignant tumors. This article is about the relationship beween uPA system and carcinoma of endometrium, in order to provide some new ideas for the diagnosis and theraphy of carcinoma of endometrium.
