    Although the TCM has developed a profound theory system and a fame of outstanding advantage in curative effect, it seems that the TCM is not quite adaptable to the development and requirement of the modem society.

    A principle of “Adopting the advanced part of Western medicine to serve the TCM” should be adhered to for the traditional Chinese medicine. First, TCM should strive for a consensus of TCM theory which focuses on the guiding principles of “diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient's condition” and “the opposite principle of five internal organs”.Among these principles, “keeping relative balance of three internal systems” is a valuable guidance of the diagnosis and treatment theory. Secondly, macroscopic should be integrated with microscopic, totality with parts, phenomenology with materialism. A dialectical law should be applied to guide analysis. In treatment, adjustment and balance are basic principles. It is necessary not only prepare the medicine in advance according to the predicted disease of the year, but also adopt methods to restrict disease in advance. Basides, TCM dose type should be ameliorated in order to meet the needs of society.

    In hydraulic engineering, deep-seated rupture zones have been discovered in some dam areas, such as Heishanxia of Huanghe River, Jinpingshan of Yalongjiang River and others. It is a new geological structure phenomenon. deep-seated rupture zones are usually situated in the pleistoseismic generating faults. Historic earthguakes frequently occur along the active structure zone. Deep seated rupture zones are 300 m or more beneath the surface, far exceeding the depth of surface unloading range. They are bound up with the dynamics effect of rock mass during earthquake happening. This paper discussed the seismologic reasons for the occurrence of deep seated rupture zones according to elastic wave kinetics.

Creative problem solving (CPS) is the common name for methods that utilize creativity techniques within an organizing framework. Based on analyzing the characters of creative process, this paper discusses the elements of creative cognition. The basic funtions of creativity support system (CSS) are studied. A hierarchical model of the creativity support system based on experimental learning is presented.

    At present, there are some conception confusions about organization, team and group, and also team formation is still in qualitative analysis phase in multi-robot field. The paper, using Markov course and evolution calculation theory for reference, researches the difference between team and organization in conception and the formation mechanism of robot team from cooperative entity layer and ability layer. This paper proposes and describes a dynamic evolution model about robot team formation. There hasn't been a similar model at home and abroad now. The model can not only wholly describe robot team, but also quantitatively describe dynamical evolution course of the team formation.

    In order to efficiently and effectively control the use of wireless network resources, in this paper, according to the characteristic of adaptive multimedia applications in which bandwidths can be adjusted dynamically, and the influence of pricing on the users' behavior, an adaptive admission control algorithm integrated with pricing is proposed. The algorithm, in with the price is adjusted dynamically based on the current network conditions, is fit for the multi-priorilies services. Attempt is tried to make best balance between the efficiency and simplicity for the pricing scheme. Comparison of the performance of the proposed approach is made with the corresponding results of conventional systems where pricing is not taken into consideration in CAC process. The performance results verify the considerable improvement achieved by the integration of pricing with CAC in wireless networks.

    On the basis of the semi-empirical rheology model of soft mud under such oscillatory external forces as water waves, a vertical 2-D numerical model is developed for simulating the interaction between surface water waves and underlying soft mud beds. The rheology model used is featured by remarkable hysteresis loops in the relationships of shear strain versus shear stress and the rate of shear strain versus shear stress and strong nonlinearity. A logarithmic grid from the water-mud interface in the vertical direction is employed for numerical treatment, which increases the resolution of the flow in the neighborhood of both sides of the interface, thus contributes to reproducing the characteristics of wave boundary. Model verifications are given through comparisons between the calculated and the measured bed mud mass transport velocities as well as the rate of decay of surface wave heights.

    Quantitative area risk assessment (QARA) method and its subsequent application in land safety planning for major hazard installations was initially studied in this paper. The basic principle and indicators of QARA were briefly introduced. Calculating models for individual and social risk, procedure for assessment as well as calculating software were developed. The developed method was applied to one oil and gas storage area. Individual risk contour and social risk F - N curve were established by the developed calculating software. The results show that the individual risk and social risk of the storage area are both beyond the allowed risk standards due to huge reserves of LPG and the high people density. The method shows theoretical and practical value in land use safety planning for major hazard installations and also for other kinds of disasters.

    Because of the unobserved sudden fatigue failure of the large-scale and heavyburden supporting shafts, the normal product line is affected seriously. Based on analyzing the relation ship between this type of supporting shafts construction characteristics and vibration signal characteristic, the model of the vibration signal is established by the method of time series.Residual (σa2) and normal residue square sum (NRSS) are adopted to identify the fault state, and the degree of supporting shafts' fatigue crack is diagnosed effectively.The result of experiment shows that the method of time series using σa2 and NRSS as the index to diagnose the fatigue crack of large-scale and heavyburden supporting shafts is more sensitive and effective than the normal method using time-frequency domain of amplitude, and has very strong practicability.

    A new nano-scale plate-like model in which the influence of surface effect and the geometrically nonlinear condition are considered is introduced on the basis of Mindlin theory. By using Hamilton's principle, the governing equations are derived. The residue membrane force and bending moment, which are caused by the surface stresses, are explicitly expatiated. After analyzing the membrane force and bending moment, it can be obtained that they are dependent on the deformation of the film and are accordant to classical plate theory. The model is then applied to analyze the bending and buckling of simply supported micro- and nano-films in plane strains . Differing from the conventional plate theory, the proposed model and solutions involve the intrinsic scale and depend on the thickness of the film. Thus, it can be found that when the thickness of,the film is equal to or less than the intrinsic scale, the surface effect is strongly sensitive to the thickness of the film.

    The airliner cabin air quality is related to the safety, health and comfort of passengers and cabin crew. Considering the unique cabin environment, a new cabin air purifier system based on nanophotocatalytic oxidation is described. A detailed performance comparison has been made between the photocatalytic oxidation reactor and the carbon adsorption/high efficiency particulate arresting filters for airliner cabin. The life-cycle costs for carbon adsorption/high efficiency particulate arresting filters are significantly higher than that for photocatalytic oxidation reactor. It also indicates that photocatalytic oxidation reactor can not only control the level of volatile organic compounds but also purify airborne bioaersols. These characteristics can help to decrease the replenishment of fresh air, save the power and reduce airliner cost.

    The design of dynamic output-feedback controller is investigated for the descriptor fuzzy TS models. By transforming the design problem into the feasible solution problems to a set of linear matrix inequalities, the properly stabilizing output controllers are obtained. The resulting closed-loop system can be ensured to satisfy certain performance index and locate at the required pole-placement region.

    To deal with the real-time and multi-channel data acquisition and supervision of the voltage, current and temperature on the clients' lines in communication system, the design method of the system based on dual CPU structure is described in this paper as well as the hardware composition. The connection of main chips and the software flow are discussed as well. This system has been applied to the supervision of 48 V communication lines in mail system.It shows that the dual CPU plan not only meets the system requirement of massive computation and high real-time and anti-jamming performance but also optimizes both software and hardware design.

    During running process, the effect of dynamic loads is quite complex. So determining dynamic characteristics of supporting structure are of great importance when making hydro plant's dynamic analysis. However, conventional testing measures often cause intensive destruction or are too complicated to implement. In order to solving above problems,this paper,basing on principle of dynamics, applies the test data to analyze the structure vibration and variability of loads during machine halting process,and further puts forward a new method to identify dynamic characteristics of hydro plants supporting structure using machine halting process. The test data comes from prototype observation in Lijiaxia's power house structure of two-row placed units. The method, combining unit test and structure test result, and fully using advantage of wavelet analysis, successfully overcomes poor factor like long variation time of loads,vibration fluctuation,etc.,when analyzing halting problem.

    In this paper, performance-based fire safety design concept was adopted to analyze the fire safety objective that the smoke evacuation system of Laoshan bicycle racing centre should achieve, fire scenarios were designed and the performance of natural smoke evacuation system was studied by using CFD techniques. The velocity and temperature distributions during the fire was obtained by using numerical simulation method, the fact that people in the centre could be evacuated safely was proved and the building's fire safety objective was satisfied.
