    High-speed railway technology is a super large and very complex engineering system.  The paper introduces the current situation of China railway system,  noting that it is very urgent for China to push ahead railway construction,  especially,  high\|speed railway construction by drawing experiences from all around the world and carrying out experiment on our own,  thus developing an innovative high\|speed railway technological system with Chinese characteristics.  Some engineering projects under construction are also cited in the paper.

    Western medicine is based on demonstration science,  and features returning to the original condition.  The division of work is becoming increasingly fine.  There are many achievements in the medicine and cure of illness.  But it always cures illness by dissevering human body. It emphasizes cure while ignoring hominine.  So Western medicine has puzzled itself about how to stick up for whole human body.  Intraditional Chinese medicine,  diagnosis and treatment is based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient's condition,  which is dialectical and reasonable. It takes heaven, earth and man as an integral whole. There are also and many achievements in the medicine and cure.  Traditional Chinese medicine relies on numeral,  imaging and feeling,  and lacks scientific logos and demonstration science. Combination of the Western and Chinese medicines has been advocated for more than half century, but determinate effects are limited.  The authors, guided by Dr.  Qian Xuesen's idea on systemic science and in accordance to the concept of "break through reduction theory,  develope integer theory,  and achieve both of them with a uniform to systemic theory" ,  advance to establish a new medicine,  that is "Human Body Ecological Medicine" .

    Comparison among predicted hurricane characteristics with the Poisson-Weibull compound extreme value distribution proposed by the authors in 1982,  Poisson-nested logistic trivariate compound extreme value distribution in 2004 and hurricane disaster prevention design criteria for New Orleans (proposed by NOAA) shows that the compound extreme value distribution is a more reasonable model for typhoon or hurricane statistical prediction.  Based on the lesson from Hurricane Katrina,  this paper involved the uncertainty analysis and multivariate joint probability theory to the risk assessment for coastal,  offshore and hydraulic engineering.

    The control strategy of SVG controller in outer loop based on artificial immunity arithmetic was brought forward in this paper in control technique about voltage error—reactive power in static var generator's controller in allusion to complex control object of multi-dimensional and non-linear power system.  Bionically simulating the immune process of human body in which the immunity system can bring excellent antibody for biting evil invasive antigen and maintain normal function, the control strategy takes voltage fluctuate as equivalence antigen and produces antibody for voltage stabilization. Output reference value of reactive power instruction in inner loop is gained by identifying voltage change factor in power system which corresponds to antigen mater in immunity system and setting model with fuzzy scheme for cell activation process with Mamdani fuzzy reasoning and gravitational and center fuzzy measure.  The control scheme of simulation immune mechanism brought forward in the paper is proved effective on stability of power system through the outline parameter training of the SVG simulation controller on on power system of one generator with two close loop structur the fault influence analysis about short circuit in triphase symmetry power system and comparison with parameter change by PI control manner.

    Based on the study of single-characteristic incompatibility problem and the transformation of solving it,  the structure, judging methods and solving methods of multi-characteristic incompatibility problem are studied.  The transformation for solving incompatibility problem is called solution transformation.  Its applied value will be explained through its application in marketing.  This study will provide new tools for the intelligent disposal of contradiction problem.

    A 2. 5 kW CO2 laser,  a HVS-1000 Micro-hardness measuring instrument and an X-350A X-ray stress measuring instrument were adopted in the experiment where 0. 6mm-thickn sheet steel of TA2 was studied to evaluate the process parameters of bending with thermal stress induced by laser.  Bending angle was measured as the function of main processing parameters.  These processing parameters were arranged according to the theory of orthotropic experiment.  Distribution of residual stress on the surface and variation of micro-hardness on the cross section of samples were studied after forming.  The results show that these parameters bring different effects.  The number of passes ranks first,  followed by laser spot in terms of their effect on the bending angle,  with power of laser beam and scan speed being the last two factors.  Parameters of laser forming also have some influence on the distribution of residual stress on the surface of samples.  Certain regularity appears in the variation of micro-hardness on the cross section of samples.

    The characteristics of the removable grain bed dust remover are analyzed and it has been compared with traditional dust removers. Combining with theoretic calculation and practical circulating experiments,  the methods for the design and calculations of main configuration parameters and main performance parameters of the removable grain bed dust removers are put forward.  These methods have been proved to have fairly higher practical application value.

    De-interlace is to convert interlaced images to progressive ones.  In this paper,  a de-interlacing algorithm based on spatio-temporal weight and edge direction is presented.  It consists of motion detection,  low-angle edge detection,  and spatio-temporal weight adaptive interpolation.  It uses total 4 fields information captured in field storage to detect the presence of motion.  And it detects low-angle edge by an adaptive searching radius in which the 6°edge is obtained.  The proposed method using spatio-temporal adaptive interpolation can obtain quite good display quality and satisfies real-time process of HDTV sequences.

    Variational principles of smoke temperature are studied in confined space with water mist applying.  Effect of ventilation area,  position between ventilation and fire and water mist flux on temperature decreasing velocity is studied by experiments.  The attenuation of temperature decreasing velocity is described under different ventilation conditions.  It is found in experiments that the attenuation of temperature decreasing velocity caused by ventilation can be reduced by increasing water mist flux.  This paper provides necessary references for water mist application in fire protection.

    This paper proposes software optimization strategies using a low-cost SoC which include float-point to fix-point conversion scheme based on statistical analysis and performance oriented customizing scheme for on-chip memory's capacity,  and presents optimization methodology based on these strategies for computation intensive applications.  the MPEG-4 AAC decoding in real-time is implemented as a case study to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed optimization strategy in both performance and cost.  The strategy and methodology also can be used to optimize other DSP applications.

    The basic principle of millimeter wave remote controlling munitions (MMW-RCTCM) is demonstrated in the introduction.  Then the concept of correctable intercepting flow is proposed.  And the anti-air shooting model of millimeter wave remote controlling munitions (MMW-RCTCM) intercepting mobile anti-ship missile (MACM) is established in section 2 and 3.  Subsequently,  the hitting probability of single MMW-RCTCM vs.  single MACM as well as MMW-RCTCM flow vs.  single MACM and MMW-RCTCM flow vs.  MACM flow are analyzedin detail.  The probabilities of the above are simulated based on the parameters of the two sides of attacking and intercepting in the 5th section.  It is illustrated that comparing with the non-controlling munitions,  the efficiency of MMW-RCTCM is increased remarkably.  At the last,  it is concluded that the MMW-RCTCM can resist the attacking of saturate flow; ultra-sonic MACM.

    For its complexities and randomicities,  it is hard to obtain accurately some important parameters in designing of construction for earthwork project with manual method,  such as traveling density,  queuing condition,  the grade of the road and the number of construction machine.  Actual construction process can be substituted by simulation nodes,  such as digging,  loading,  traveling,  and unloading correspondingly. The technique of Cycle Operation Network (CYCLONE) is used to build the construction model for earthwork project.  The application to an earthwork project shows its shortcut and advantage.  It is worth studying thoroughly and popularizing.

    A fault-tolerant system experiences a crash due to hardware components' faults or progressive performance degradation as an "aging"  phenomenon,  because of running continuously for very long periods.  This paper considers both hardware components' faults and "aging"  phenomenon, proposes composing redundant structure and rejuvenation schedule in the fault-tolerant system, formalizes the system with Non-Markovian stochastic Petri nets,  and evaluates quantitatively the performance of a system based on this model.

    In this paper,  the Pareto strength SCE-UA algorithm (PSSCE) is presented to handle the reservoir optimization operation problem.  The approach treats the constrained optimization as a two-objective optimization: one objective is the original objective function; the other is the degree of constraint violation.  SCE-UA algorithm is applied to the two-objective optimization by using the individual's comparing procedure and the population ranking procedure which are respectively based on the Pareto dominance relationship and the Pareto strength definition.  The new approach is more general,  effective and robust.

    In order to realize high speed and high precision position control in an AC servo system,  in view of such kinds of uncertainties as moment of inertia and load moment changing widely,  and strong impact moment,  an optimal robust control tactics is put forward.  Experimental results show that this control tactics has strong robustness,  and has fairly good dynamic performances and steady-state precision.

    The constructed wetland is an ecological sewage treatment with good purification effects and low construction and operation costs.  However,  the oxygen condition in constructed wetlands is of particularity and affects purification efficiency of wetlands.  For the lack of systematical study on oxygen condition of wetlands,  the further development of wetlands is restricted to some extent.  In this paper,  the intensifying measures of oxygen condition in horizontal flow wetlands were studied,  the optimal operation condition of them were determined.  Operation in series,  aerifying and multi-inflow and circmfluence were studied by experiments.  The results show that operation in series improved oxygen condition unconspicuously.  Oxygen concentration in aeration wetlands and multi-inflow wetlands were improved.  The optimal gas-flow ratio was 4~5.  And the assigned ratio of inflow was 1∶2∶1.  The results of research demonstrate that circumfluence makes purifying effect of constructed wetlands improved obviously.  Removal efficiency of various pollutants increases quickly.

    Diode-clamped multilevel inverter is a kind of power converter which can be used in high voltage and high power application field.  Its corresponding PWM control is studied extensively.  The paper presents a novel carrier-based PWM method to take advantage of all levels in the inverter even at low modulation indices.  The simulation results indicate that the novel PWM strategy increases device utilization and enables the inverter to switch at higher frequencies and low modulation indices.
