    The measured data of GIC in Guangdong Lingao 500 kV power networks during the several magnetic storms at the peak of 23rd Solar Cycle, the GIC calculation results of 2010 750 kV planning power grid in Shanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia, the structure and characteristics of power networks from 500 kV to 1 000 kV, and super magnetic storm in 1859 are analyzed in this paper. Through the analysis, the possible impacts of extreme space weather on the future UHV, large-scale power system security in China are discussed, and the research suggestions coping with the strong solar storms are proposed.

    Based on the analysis of the current explosions of Dalian pipeline in China, this paper focused on the collection and transmission equipments' drive method of oil or gas in the world and proposed a passive control principle and method. With the introduction of structure and principle of passive control shuttle-type key component, the passive shuttle-type control pipeline explosion protection system and the shuttle-type fire-fighting check valve for the huge oilcan were discussed in detail, which was very helpful for the collection and transmission of oil or gas.

    Based on the textile and apparel industrial development, using questionnaire and interview, the demand and supply conditions of talented textile and apparel engineers were analyzed in the paper. It summarized the problematic status of the talented textile and apparel engineers' educational scale, regional distribution, specialty and degree structure. Current educational circumstances, specialty configuration, teaching staff and educational style in fostering talented textile and apparel engineer were also discussed. Finally, reform ideas and countermeasures of the educational mode were put forward according to the principles of the talented textile and apparel engineer growth.

    Water mists for fire suppression and control have widely received considerable attention as one of the potential methods for halon replacement. A new composite additive was concocted and its effectiveness to water mist's fire suppression performance was investigated through the base of ethanol fire, diesel fire and wood crib fire. Results showed that this additive can greatly improve the fire suppression efficiency of water mist and shorten the extinguishing time remarkably. The fire suppression mechanism of water mist with this additive was combined with physical and chemical effect. However, the surface cooling and fuel isolation were considered to be the crucial suppression mechanism.

    Concrete dam construction management and decision-making platform is established based on virtual reality. In the platform, the multi-dimensional construction information is integrated highly, including dam constructure, pouring bins, construction schedule, construction machines, construction site management and so on. Virtual construction scene is shown lively in the platform. The construction progress and construction field can be managed real-timely and interactively in the platform. The platform provides a completely new environment for concrete dam construction management and decision-making. The platform has rich functions on concrete dam construction management and decision-making, such as construction information management, dam model editing, pouring bins management, construction scene roaming, construction animation rendering, construction schedule simulation, construction machine operation, construction progress interaction.

    ASME B31G is the international criteria to assess the failure stress of corroded pipeline, taking into account its conservatism, this paper studies the failure stress of corroded pipeline based on the modified B31G, and considers some random variables that contains pipeline wall thickness, corrosion rate, operating pressure, defect depth and so on, so a limit state function of corroded carrying Oil/Gas is established. Afterwards, the first order and second moment method is employed for research on the reliability of corroded pipeline, and calculation on reliability index, failure probability and remaining life. In addition, to further standardize the management of corrosion of pipelines, taking into account the relevant provisions of American Petroleum Institute, different failure probability of pipeline were graded. In the final, a sensitivity analysis was carried out on random variables involved in the problem. The results of sensitivity analysis indicate that the failure probability is the most sensitive to the coefficient of variation of wall thickness.

    This paper proposed a speeding clustering algorithm of connectivity-credibility constrained random dispose which based on some other clustering algorithms. Simulation shows that this algorithm can get large cover of clustering, logical distributing and good stability. Comparing to the lowerst-ID clustering and highest-connectivity clustering algorithm, the algorithm can get less number of cluster-heads, more logical clustering, good communication between nodes and cluster-heads, steady networks, reduce communication cost of rebuilding, and can balance network's energy consume, prolong the networks life.

    One of the key technologies to solve the dilution problem of cobalt crust is to calculate the best exploitation depth by surface elevation information. A single-beam swing ultrasonic micro-terrain detection method was proposed based on occurrence of cobalt crust and mining method. To test the feasibility of the method a laboratory bench has been successfully built, and the fact that the detection accuracy of vertical bench can achieve centimeter level has been verified. Subsequently. an improved data windowing algorithm to further improve the accuracy of removing exceptional elevation value was submitted; linear correlation coefficient method was adopted to choose linear and nonlinear regression support vector.It is proposed and proved that Gaussian radial basis function parameter σ can be determined according to the slope, slope length information on measuring line.

    Based on identification of R&D human capital investment risk in military institutions, the risk evaluation model was constructed. Both interior-dependences and interactions among the constructed index exist. A fuzzy evaluation model was proposed, which is not only based on the analytic network process (ANP) but also on the fuzziness of evaluations, as well as its algorithm. Finally, an example was given to demonstrate that the analysis result was more reasonable, direct and including more abundant information.

    A mathematical model was developed for predicting smoke filling combined with sprinkler cooling and natural smoke exhaust. Experiments were carried out to validate the model, with experimental results, smoke filling characteristics are obtained. Results showed that smoke filling velocity combined with sprinkler cooling and natural smoke exhaust has a very small difference; the final height of smoke reduces with sprinkler cooling; for the range of pressure studied in the present investigation, we found only a small effect of pressure on the final height of smoke.

    Based on the extended Boussinesq equation with weak nonlinearity, 2-D numerical model was established in nonstaggered grids by the finite difference method. The nonstaggered grids were used with the first-order spatial derivatives being discretized by the fourth-order and the second-order terms discertized by the second-order. For the time derivatives, a composite fourth-order accurate Adams-Bashforth Moulton scheme was used. Numerical simulation was done upon one-dimension and two-dimension wave propagations problem, and through the comparisons of numerical results with the related experimental data, the application of the extended Boussinesq equations were investigated.

    This paper focuses on a new designed 20-meters bridge-inspection vehicle. The whole vehicle is modeled within Pro/e software with respect to four kinds of working conditions, and its static and modal finite element analysis are performed by using the finite element code ANSYS. Based on these analysis results, the strength of the whole designed structure is checked, and all dangerous parts are found, finally, some suggestions are given to strengthen the structure. The finite element analysis is an important theoretic method to verify the design, and the results provide theoretic bases and technological support for this vehicle design and manufacture.
