    To make a study on the anti-sliding stablity of foundation of hydraulic structures on subbed soils, and based on the result by anti-sliding tests of dragged concreting clip plates in foundation pits, the anti-sliding stablity of foundation on subbed soils was determind. There are 3 different forms of largest displacement with 8 different forms of silding move of subbed soils caused by the different maximum compressive stresses of eccentric loads on them. It is worked out a design method to determine the sliding frictional resistances and the forms of sliding moves of foundation subbed soils; a formula for the integal frication resistance to sliding for the structure;a formula for the the anti-sliding move of subbed soils and a rule to distinguish the plane sliding move of foundation subsoils with others. To analyze 3 structures which have been established provides a confirmation with the reality for the design method.

    High-speed railway represents the developing direction of railways in the world. Systematically researching the basic theories, engineering construction and operation practice of high-speed railways in China has great significance to speed up the construction of world-classhigh-speed railway sandrealize the strategic target of“going-out” for China' s railway technology.Based on alarge quantity of the oretical and testing researches and construction practices, this paper systematically researched the main design standards of high-speed railways in China,
    and the comprehensive testing results of Beijing-Tianjininter-city railway and Wuhan-Guangzhouhigh-speed railways how the main technology standards can satisfy the safety and stability requirements of 350 km/h railways and the quality of lines reaches world advanced level.

    China has vast areas of desertified grass lands, totaled around 40 % of the national land area. These lands are not suitable and have not been used for food production. But after extensive ecological re-construction, they can produce bountiful harvest each year of giant silver grass (botanically known as "miscanthus x giganteus"  and is named after its partially silver color). This is a perennial grass with a lifespan around 15 years and is native to northern sections of China and Japan. It can survive in poor and decayed environment and can grow up to a giant 3.5 m tall, strong and dense wild grass and can live on saline water intake. After harvested with special machinery developed in Europe, it can be gasified and catalyzed and may yield around 17.2 tonne of bio-butanol per hectacre. Bio-butanol can be used as a renewable and clean fuel directly replacing the non-renewable gasoline or petroleum. With joint efforts announced by the biology and microbiology expert teams of Monsanto, Mondel and others, this productivity is expected to be improved further. Hence it is estimated that around year 2030 and by extensively planting giant-silver-grass over 46 % of the vast desertified grass lands, China may become independent of petroleum and coal and turn to the vast "giant-silver-grass oil-fields"  forrenewable and clean energy. Harvest from the remaining areas can be used for exports or for other uses. Then China can become a world-leading supplier of clean and renewable energy. It can work with other countries to stablize energy supply and energy price over long durations. It can lead the world to a new age of clean and renewable energy with stable energy supply.

    When treating the industrial waste water from metallurgical industry, applying the powde ractivated carbon together with the emulsified lime as the pre-treatment to reduce COD, the temporary hardness, and the concen tration of high valence ions in the permeate of UF.The application can effectively prolong the operation cycle of RO system.By applying the Clarifier+ValvelessFilter+PressurizedUF+Reverse O smosis technology,it is able to reduce the capital investment and the operation costs of energy consumption.

    In this paper, using the infrared nephogram and the black-body temperature (the cloud Top Block Body temperature,TBB) from the GMS-5 satellite of Japan, the process of the occurrence, development and dying out of rainstorm are analyzed. At the same time, the Wuhan"98·7"  Rainstorm would be delicately forecasted for in case. It is better effect to forecast rainstorm.

    Zhongnanshan extra-long road tunnel in Qingling is large-scale and has a complex ventilation system. In order to guarantee the ventilation scheme properly and save the ventilation expenditure, the evaluation of non-mechanical ventilation effect is of importance. The research team monitored the natural wind initially, traffic flux and the wind induced by natural ventilation pressure and traffic wind force subsequently, and obtained lots of data. Through analysis of the monitoring data, we draw some conclusions: firstly, bigger speed of the natural wind occurs in the period from 10∶00 am to 14∶00 pm, and the greatest value reaches 2.576 m / s; secondly, the period of peak traffic flux in tunnel(east or west line) is mostly constant; at last, the period of bigger wind speed, which induced by natural ventilation pressure and traffic wind force, basically matches the period of peak traffic flux in the east line, while the two periods match badly in west line, meantime, the change of wind speed is relatively smooth in west line. The calculating value of the natural wind speed by method which takes account of some parameters such as wind orientation, frequency of wind orientation, the temperature of portal et al, approximates the monitoring value. The calculating value of the wind speed induced by natural ventilation pressure and traffic wind force is a little smaller than the monitoring, but approximate it.

    Aiming at the locale facts of difficult roof controlling for large span gateway of fully-mechanized coal faces, based on analysis of the influence factors of monolayer strata stability, the numerical simulation soft UDEC3.0 is employed to deeply research influence factors and changing rules of roof stability of the gateway which is composed by some monolayer strata. A new supporting idea of reducing span supporting function by bolts cooperating with anchor cables is brought forward by disposing anchor cables at the appropriate locations, the traditional supporting theory such as suspensory and compounding beam (arch) are still operated at the same time. A good result is achieved after the new supporting idea is applied in the large span gateway of Bulianta Colliery in Shendong diggings.

    The feasibility of utilizing industrial waste to produce soft soil stabilizer with high added value is discussed from the point of view of technical effect, economic benefit and production and management mode. Principle of design for stabilizer with industrial waste is offered based on the characteristics of stabilized soil structure formation and its special demand on stabilizer components; examples of the stabilizer composition are presented, and the performance/cost ratio of the stabilizers are compared with that of Portland cement. Reasonable production and management mode for industrial producing the stabilizer with industrial waste is discussed also. It is suggested that as long as appropriate industrial wastes are selected intentionally to meet the special demand on the stabilizer composition needed to form stabilized soil structure, the soil stabilizer with high performance/cost ratio could be gotten. It is advised that the stabilizer should be designed individually according to the properties of the soil to be stabilized, the production mode that the stabilizer is produced by mixing multi-components and the management pattern of incorporating designing, production and selling should be adopted.

    This paper aims to explore the tracking approach of safety hazards and real-time-prediction methods of safety risks on construction sites. A literature review of safety issues on construction sites is first conducted. Consequently, a schematic model of tracking safety hazards and real-time prediction of safety risks is formulated and the corresponding methodologies are summarized. This study would provide a possible research approach on method for tracking safety hazards and real-time prediction of safety risks, while serving as a foundation for further study by drawing researchers' attention to the precursor signals of safety hazards on construction sites.

    Aiming at the disadvantages of feature extraction and selection in the traditional method for passive millimeter-wave (MMW) metal target recognition, the existence and characteristics of low dimensional manifold of the short-time Fourier spectrum of metal target echo signal are explored using manifold learning algorithm, Laplacian eigenmaps. Target classification is performed through comparing the similarity of the test samples and the positive class in terms of the low dimensional manifold. The experiments show that the method gets higher recognition rate than other linear and kernel-based nonlinear dimensionality reduction algorithm, and is robust to data aliasing.

    Based on the overlapped conditions on complex river network and basin, a 1D and 2D flood routing model which is based on water-resistance structure of railways, roads, embankment and mobile boundary to realize timely flood regulation in basins of the detention basin was proposed. The model was calculated by using the finite volume method (FVM). A corresponding simulation system of the 1D and 2D flood routing model was set up in consideration of the total frame of flood optimization regulation. Any position's water level, flow speed, water height and submerged time can be acquired from it. The system was used in Dongdian Basin, and reasonable agreement was found between the measured data and the calculated data of Daqing River. The system was also used to simulate the program of five basins combined-regulation in Daqing River Basin, and to analyze the return basin phenomenon, comparing different cases .

Hence, the article focuses on the application of PSO to the multiple-objective coordination optimization of project, looking forward to seeking best solutions easily and quickly. After introducing the basic theory of the algorithms and its several versions, the article aims at the efficiency coefficient of quality, cost, time and resource subsystem, and set up a multiple optimization coordination model. In the following part, the article introduces how to apply PSO to solve the project coordination optimization problem in detail. The numeric example followed indicates that PSO can solve the multiple-objectives coordination optimization problem of project exactly and quickly.

    While Xin'anjiang model is applied to simulate hydrograph, the "best"  parameter set calibrated may be not unique and uncertain because of model limitation, more parameters and limited information. Considering previously parameter optimization of Xin'anjiang model, there is only a unique "best"  parameter set to be found and it doesn't describe uncertainty of parameter. This paper presents using SCEM-UA algorithm based Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods for optimization and uncertainty assessment of Xin'anjiang model parameters by means of 36 historical floods data with one hour interval. The results demonstrate that SCEM-UA algorithm is well suited to infer the posterior distribution of Xin'anjiang model parameters. The results of calibration and validation indicate that it is feasible and effective for optimization and uncertainty assessment of Xin'anjiang model parameters.

    In order to effectively evaluate existed bridges' reliability, the effect of bridge service time on bridge reliability was considered. To extend the so-called semi-stochastic process model for specified in the design code in analysis reliability for existing structure, assuming that the structural resistances and the action effects are independent, based on the characteristics of the resistance and action effects variation with time, considering the resistance is an independent increment process and calculating the self-revelation coefficient of resistance, an approximate algorithm of failure probability was developed. And a fully stochastic process model was developed to analysis time-dependent reliability. Through the example,this method is simple and convenient and can supply a basis for structural assessment and service life prediction.
