Editor-In-Chief

Raymond CK Chan

Professor Raymond Chan has a long standing interest in schizophrenia and related disorders, and mentally at-risk individuals. This is reflected in a substantial contribution to neuropsychological studies, neuroimaging and behavioural genetics research in this field. In particular, his research focuses on the neuropsychological and neurobiological markers for schizophrenia and at-risk group, seeking to understand what parts of the brain is targeted in these conditions and potential causal mechanisms. He and his team have been actively developing and validating a set of neuropsychological tests used in the field and therefore has been equipped with up-to-date international standard tools for the early detection and intervention. He is now the Principal Investigator and a Distinguished Professor of Neuropsychology and Applied Cognitive Neuroscience at the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Chan has published over 400 scientific peer-reviewed articles and 6 book chapters in the areas of schizophrenia, major depressive disorders and traumatic brain injury. He is currently serving as the co-editor-in-chief for PsyCh Journal, and on the editorial boards for Neuropsychology, Clinical Rehabilitation, Cognitive Neuropsychiatry, Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, and four local professional journals in China.
