Daniel Baptista-Hon, PhD is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Macau University of Science and Technology, and Honorary Lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Dundee. He obtained his PhD from the University of Edinburgh and did his postdoctoral training at the University of Dundee, where he obtained the Stewart Trust Fellowship to investigate the role of voltage-activated sodium channels in colon cancer. In Macau, he established a patch-clamp electrophysiology laboratory to continue his research. Dr. Baptista-Hon has published in international journals including Signal Transduction & Targeted Therapy, British Journal of Pharmacology, British Journal of Anaesthesia etc. He serves as a review editor of Frontiers in Neuroscience and Frontiers in Endocrinology.

Dr. Gao obtained his Ph.D. degree in human physiology at Peking University with a focus on bioinformatics. In 2021, he was offered a postdoctoral position at the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences of Macao University of Science and Technology in Macao (China) under the supervision of Prof. Kang Zhang. His research interest was modeling and understanding mechanisms of complex diseases using multi-omics technologies and artificial intelligence.

Jun Zou, Associate professor of the Center for Clinical Translational Innovations, Molecular Medicine Research Center, West China Hospital, West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China
Dr. Jun Zou received his Ph.D. degree in biological sciences in 2010 at Sichuan University, China, followed by two years of postdoctoral training. In 2012, he joined the Molecular Medicine Research Center at West China Hospital, Sichuan University. His research is focused on the development of new computational algorithms for small-molecular drug design and optimization based on artificial intelligence. Dr. Zou is teaching drug design and discovery to medical students, chemistry undergraduates, and graduate students.
