Archaeological Research welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts that demonstrate analytical rigor, methodological transparency, and substantive contributions to archaeological scholarship. Authors should prepare their submissions in clear, idiomatic English and ensure full compliance with the journal’s formatting and structural requirements.

·Submission and revision.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Revised manuscripts should include a detailed response to reviewers outlining how each comment has been addressed.

· Submit manuscript

· Originality and prior publication.

Submissions must report original work that has not been published, submitted, or accepted elsewhere in any language. If related studies by the authors exist, their relationship to the submitted manuscript must be clearly stated, and the new submission must provide substantial, non-overlapping content.

· Language, formatting, and manuscript structure.

Manuscripts must be written in standard academic English. Submissions should follow the journal’s template and include: title; author names and affiliations; abstract (150–300 words); 3-5 keywords; introduction; materials and methods; results; discussion; conclusion; acknowledgments (if applicable); references; and supplementary materials where relevant. Research questions, analytical procedures, and conclusions should be presented with clarity and precision.

· Figures, tables, and data presentation.

Figures and tables must be submitted in high resolution and accompanied by clear, descriptive captions. Maps, photographs, drawings, and analytical graphics should include essential metadata such as scale, orientation, and methodological notes. Authors are responsible for securing permissions for any copyrighted materials.

· References and citation style.

The journal uses an author–date citation system. All citations must correspond to entries in the reference list and follow the journal’s formatting guidelines. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.

· Research data and supplementary materials.

To support transparency and reproducibility, authors are encouraged to provide datasets, code, analytical workflows, or additional documentation. Data deposited in public repositories should include accession numbers. Supplementary files will be reviewed and may be published online at the discretion of the editors.
