Description

Archaeological Research is an international, peer-reviewed journal established under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and jointly launched by the School of Archaeology and Museology, Peking University, and Higher Education Press. The journal provides a platform for empirically robust, analytically rigorous, and theoretically informed scholarship that advances knowledge of human societies from the earliest hominin populations to recent historical communities. We are committed to publishing work that engages substantively with archaeological data, demonstrates methodological strength, and contributes to broader debates within and beyond archaeology.

Our editorial mission is to cultivate an inclusive and globally oriented venue that fosters intellectual exchange across regions and traditions, encourages diverse and innovative research perspectives, and upholds high standards of analytical transparency and academic integrity in the study of the human past.
