The editorial office of journal Frontiers in Energy has decided to retract the following article [Using a Newton-type technique for smart meters estimation frequency of electric power system (Tanveer Ahmad, Qadeer Ui Hasan, DOl 10.1007/s11708-016-0395-9)]. Upon investigation carried out according to the Committee on Publication Ethics guidelines, it has been found that the authors have duplicated substantial parts from the following article:
