General Information
With the deepening development of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, digital technology has increasingly become a leading force driving fundamental changes and comprehensively reshaping human social thinking, organizational structure, and operation mode, which provides us with new opportunities to innovate paths, reshape forms, and promote development. Currently, digital transformation has become an important carrier of education transformation worldwide. The United Nations, countries around the world, and numerous international organizations are actively taking action to regard digital education as an important way and measure to face challenges and open up a bright future.
The 2024 Chinese Government Work Report proposes to vigorously develop digital education. This further points out the direction for promoting the digitization of education and provides fundamental guidance. Therefore, how to comprehensively empower students’ learning, teachers’ instruction, school governance, educational innovation, and international cooperation through digital education, and promote the digital development of education into a new stage, has become an important issue in policy, theory, and practice.
The main objective of this Special Issue is to bring together the cutting-edge and innovative ideas, experiences, and research results from researchers and practitioners on all aspects of digital education in China.

We invite authors to submit original research to this Special Issue in following potential topics. The topics will include, but not limited to:

Frontiers of Digital Education is an international academic journal, aiming to reflect the dynamic trends in digital education policies, academic frontiers, and research hotspots from various countries. The journal explores key issues and challenges in digital education and technological innovation, establishing a distinctive platform for the dissemination and communication of significant achievements in digital education. The dedication of this journal lies in contributing to the advancement of digital education.
