Human and animal rights

Manuscripts describing any experimental work with humans should include a statement that the research has been carried out in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki (2013) of the World Medical Association. Authors should confirm that the Ethical Committee of the Institution in which the work was performed has approved it, and that the subjects have been given informed consent to the work.

Experiments involving animals should be performed in accordance with relevant institutional and national guidelines and regulations and a statement to this effect must also be included. In the manuscript, a statement identifying the committee approving the experiments and confirming that all experiments conform to the relevant regulatory standards must be included in the COMPLIANCE WITH ETHICS GUIDELINES section.
