Zhang Zhangwas born in Jining, China, in 1995. He received the B.S. degree in optical engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2017, where he is currently pursuing the doctor’s degree in optical engineering. His research interests include WGM cavity, optofluidics, and microfiber sensors.

Yuran Kangreceived a M.Sc. degree in microsystems engineering from University of Freiburg (Germany) in 2013 and a Ph.D. degree in materials science from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) in 2020. During his Ph.D., he has specialized on electro-mechanical testing and characterization of conductive thin-films. In Oct. 2020, he joined Zhejiang Lab as an full-time associate researcher. His current research focuses on tactile sensors for robotic hands and soft robots.

Her research interests include flexible and wearable sensors based micro and nanofibers.

Yao Tangwas born in Chongqing, China, in 1995. She received the B.S. degree in Opto-Electronics Information Science and Engineering from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2018. Now she is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in optical engineering at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. Her research interests include micro-nanofiber tactile sensor, hardness discrimination, Material identification.

She is currently pursuing the master’s degree in optical engineering from Zhejiang University, Chengdu, China. Her research interests include plasmonics and microfiber sensors.

Liqiang Wangreceived the B.S. degree in Optical technology and optoelectronic instruments, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in optical engineering from Zhejiang University in 2001 and 2004, respectively. In 2004, he joined the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, where he is a post-doctor. From 2006, he joined the Department of Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research focuses on optical imaging, and wearable devices.

Lei Zhangreceived the Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from Zhejiang University in 2006. In 2008, he joined the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, where he is a Professor. Prof. Zhang has more than 40 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His research focuses on optical micro/nanofiber sensors, optofluidics, and wearable devices.

Limin Tongreceived the B.S. and M.Sc. Degrees in physics and the Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from Zhejiang University in 1991, 1994, and 1997, respectively. In 1997, he joined the Department of Physics, Zhejiang University, as an Assistant Professor. From 2001 to 2004, he was with the Mazur Group, Harvard University, as a Visiting Scientist. From 2004, he joined the Department of Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University, where he is currently a Professor. His research interest has been in the area of nanophotonics and fiber optics.
