Methodological approaches and principles of contemporary youth subcultures study

Abstract

This article is a brief overview of possibilities of application of the structural and semiotic method for the study of modern youth subculture. The article shows how the application of the given method allows to interpret the empirical material and make a "translation" from the language of the subculture into the language of the basic culture.
