Abstract

Interconnection between the expression of toll-like receptors TLR-2 and TLR-4 on the epithelial surfaces of urogenital tract and clinical signs of urogenital Chlamidia infection in women is presented in the article. Clinicolaboraatory investigation was performed in 41 patients with acute Chlamidia infection, in 29 patients with chronic Chlamidia infection, in 30 patients with the chlamidiosis in anamnesis (markers of the infection were not detected during 1 year by any diagnostic approach) in 32 healthy women (control group). TLR-2 and TLR-4 level can be the criteria for the evaluation of Chlamidia infection and presence of the inflammatory process. In some cases when the pathogenic organism is not detected by laboratory approaches and the diagnosis was stated according to the markers which show indirectly the presence of Chlamidia infection, changes in TLR-2 and TLR-4 levels indicate the irradication of the pathogen. Activation of TLR-2 and TLR-4 is always seen when the strengthening of the protective reactions in the lesion focus happens. Low TLR-2 and TLR-4 levels can indicate the beginning of chronic inflectional process.
