    Many works have been devoted to the study of the functional state of the adrenal cortex under the influence of premedication (preparation for anesthesia), anesthesia, and surgical trauma in adults [3, 12, 13, 23, 24, 30, 37]. As a result of these studies, it was found that premedication, anesthesia and surgical trauma cause activation of the secretory activity of the adrenal cortex, powerful formation and release of steroid hormones into the blood. Such an increase in the amount of corticoids is necessary to maintain the water and electrolyte balance in the body, carbohydrate and protein metabolism, vascular tone and other factors that ensure the constancy of the internal environment.
