Does syphilis decrease and change its face? Prof. Chlenov (Ven. and Derm., 1928, No. 1)
An extensive article, which cannot be summarized succinctly, addresses the extremely interesting and important question of the decline of syphilis and changes in its clinical presentation. The author cites numerous references to statistics from Western European states and the USSR, which give complete reason to think that the incidence of fresh syphilis has declined sharply almost everywhere.
