Treatment of uterine bleeding and myomas with radium. Swanberg (from Berich. ü. d. ges. Gyn., Bd. XII)
The author gives preference to radiotherapy over surgery, because it eliminates surgical mortality, eliminates the danger of anesthesia and side complications, and significantly shortens the duration of the patient's stay in the clinic. Ovarian prolapse also occurs less frequently. Finally, if radiotherapy fails, surgery can always be performed.
