VIII All-Union Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
VIII All-Union Congress of obstetricians and gynecologists took place in Kiev on May 21-26, 1928. Grand opening of the Congress took place in the evening of May 21 in Opera Theater. Chairman of Organizing Committee prof. G.F.Pisemsky noticed, that this congress was a jubilee one, because exactly 25 years had passed this year since congress of obstetricians and gynecologists in St. Petersburg. After the opening remarks of Prof. Pisemsky, the honorary presidium of the congress and its honorary chairman, Prof. D. O. Ott, were elected. The memory of the deceased founding members of the Obstetrical Congresses was honored with a standing ovation. After a series of greetings to the S'ezda, the evening ended with a concert section.
