The acknowledged merit of Assmann's well-known textbook is that the author has managed to build on the perfectly developed clinical material a richly illustrated radiodiagnosis, mainly of internal diseases, and to present it in a masterly, fascinating form. And in this new edition the author remained faithful to himself: the same clinical aspect, the same abundance of artistically presented material, the same wealth of valuable observations and instructions, the same critical coverage of the current literature.
