Abstract

According to the authors' observations, the nervous system in leukemia is affected more often than it is usually thought. Infiltrates in dura mater and epidural tissue, as well as in cranial nerves and spinal roots are particularly common in this disease. In most cases this lesion does not lead to severe clinical symptoms, which occur only when the infiltrates in the dura mater are so large as to cause compression phenomena and when, due to the infiltration of the infiltrates into the nerve tissue, the nerve fibers themselves are involved in the suffering.
