Uterine ruptures during childbirth. Kupferberg (Zentr. f. Gyn., 1927, no. 12)
A. Timofeev
Kazan medical journal ›› 1928, Vol. 24 ›› Issue (4) : 482 -482.
The author attributes uterine ruptures during childbirth to inadequate training of physicians, too widespread use of pituitary drugs in childbirth, the increasing frequency of abortions and uterine perforations, the increasing frequency of manual removal of afterbirth and the spread of cesarean section surgery. The author advises replacing cesarean section with pelvic dilatation whenever possible in narrow pelvises.
