Blood lymphocyte transformation test in pathology and clinic
At the beginning of this century, the well-known histologist A.A.Maksimov, on the basis of many years of research on the morphology of lymphoid tissue, came to the conclusion that a small lymphocyte can change its function and morphology under the influence of a number of factors. The main conclusion was made that the lymphocyte is a pluripotent cell. This situation was brilliantly confirmed in subsequent experiments on artificial cultivation of peripheral blood invitro lymphocytes, as well as fragments of lymph nodes of the spleen, thymus, and other organs [17].
