On the clinical value of determining the ratio of residual volume to total lung capacity in mitral stenosis
The importance of determining the percentage of the residual volume to the total lung capacity (RO / OEL) in the diagnosis of pulmonary emphysema was pointed out by Bor (1907) Luft et al., Birat, RI Agranovich consider an increase in this ratio to be a pathognomonic sign of emphysema.
