About eye damage in Stevens-Johnson syndrome
In 1922, Stevens and Johnson described for the first time 2 cases of a serious illness proceeding in the form of an acute infectious process with severe general disorders (high fever, chills, headache, etc.), lesions of the skin and mucous membranes of the oral cavity, eyes, nasopharynx and genitals. Subsequently, this disease was called Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
