From April 25 to 28, 2026, the 25th European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ECTES 2026) and the 8th World Trauma Congress (WTC) were successfully held in Stockholm, Sweden. As one of the most influential international gatherings in the fields of trauma and emergency surgery, the congress brought together leading experts and scholars from around the world.
Trauma Research, a newly launched English-language journal jointly sponsored by the National Center for Trauma Medicine and Higher Education Press, made its international debut at the congress. Led by Executive Editor-in-Chief Professor Tianbing Wang, the journal team actively participated in the event through Editorial Board exchanges, exhibition promotion, and academic presentations, showcasing the journal’s academic vision, editorial strength, and future development plans to the global trauma community.
During the congress, Professor Wang was invited to deliver an academic presentation introducing the journal’s scope, editorial leadership, and publishing mission. As a peer-reviewed open-access journal, Trauma Research is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge discoveries in trauma medicine, promoting high-quality clinical research, and facilitating the translation of innovative technologies and products into clinical practice.
The journal is led by Academician Baoguo Jiang of Peking University People’s Hospital as Editor-in-Chief, with Professor Demetrios Demetriades of the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California serving as Co-Editor-in-Chief. Professor Tianbing Wang serves as Executive Editor-in-Chief. Supported by an internationally recognized Editorial Board comprising leading experts in trauma medicine, Trauma Research aims to become a premier platform for global academic exchange and innovation in the field of trauma care.
