Microstructures [ISSN 2770-2995 (Online)] is an international peer-reviewed, open-access, online journal. It is founded and published by OAE Publishing, with Prof. Shujun Zhang (City University of Hong Kong / University of Wollongong, Australia) serving as the Founding Editor-in-Chief, and Prof. Jun Chen (Hainan University / University of Science and Technology Beijing) and Prof. Xiaozhou Liao (The University of Sydney, Australia) as Executive Editors-in-Chief. Since its launch, the journal has been dedicated to publishing high-quality papers in the field of microstructures, spanning fundamental research to engineering applications. The journal is currently indexed in major databases including ESCI, Scopus, CAS, Dimensions, Lens, and ASCI. It has a 2024 Impact Factor of 9.0 and is ranked in JCR Q1. Microstructures is also an official partner journal of the Chinese Crystallographic Society. The journal covers the design, fabrication, modeling, characterization, testing, and evaluation of end-user applications from the microscale to the atomic scale, encompassing but not limited to metals and alloys, ceramics, polymers, composites, crystals, glasses, biomaterials, interfaces, and nanomaterials.
