Aims & scope

Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics (JTGG) is an international open-access journal founded in 2017. Since its inception, the journal has been dedicated to promoting the integration of human fundamental genetics with translational and clinical research, with a particular focus on the molecular mechanisms, diagnostic approaches, and therapeutic advances in genomics and genetic diseases.

The journal is currently led by Professor Jin Li, President of Fudan University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who serves as Honorary Editor-in-Chief. JTGG brings together a distinguished editorial board comprising leading experts from Europe, North America, and Asia, and is committed to building an influential international academic platform in the field.

JTGG is indexed in major databases including ESCI, Scopus, and ASCI, and currently has an impact factor of 1.0. We are steadily advancing the journals development with the goal of entering the Q1 category within the next two years, thereby establishing JTGG as an internationally influential platform in genetics and genomics. To this end, we have planned and published multiple special issues covering cutting-edge areas such as gene therapy, epigenetics, rare diseases, and precision medicine, and we actively collaborate with academic conferences worldwide to continuously enhance the journals academic impact.
