Jing Yuan Fang, Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, Shanghai Dr. Jing-Yuan Fang is the professor of medicine. He got the M.D., degree from Jining Medical School on 1984 and received the Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Second Medical University (now known as Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) in 1996. He worked in NIH/NCI, University of Michigan and University of Connecticut, USA as a post-doctoral fellow or a visiting scholar from 1998 to 2001 and 2004. He is the Chief of GI Division, Renji Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is also the Director of Shanghai Institute of Digestive Disease, and the vice president of Renji Hospital. He serves as the member of the Discipline Assessment Groups of the Academic Degree Commission of the State Council, China; and the member of the Consultative Committee in National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Fang’s main research interests include gut microbiota, epigenetics and signal pathways during the carcinogenesis and prevention of GI cancers. He has published over 150 original articles and review papers in peer-reviewed journals including Cell, Lancet Oncology, Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Cancer Discovery, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Gut, Cell Research, Nature Communication, Cancer Research as the corresponding author.

Min Hu Chen, The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou Prof. Minhu Chen is the Chief of Division of Gastroenterology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and the president of Chinese Society of Gastroenterology. Prof. Chen also serves as the board member of Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE) and the board member of Asian Organization for Crohn’s & Colitis (AOCC). Prof. Chen obtained his medical degree in 1984 at the Sun Yat-sen University and then obtained his Ph.D. in 1990. Prof. Chen focuses on topics including inflammatory bowel diseases, neurogastroenterology and motility disorders. He has published 10 academic books, 12 book chapters and more than 500 papers in academic peer-reviewed journals.

Qiang Cai, Louisiana State University Health Shreveport, Shreveport Dr. Qiang Cai is the professor of medicine and the Chief of Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Cai received his bachelor’s degree from Nanchang University, Jiangxi, China. He got his Master's degree from Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China, and Ph.D. from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA. Dr. Cai was a professor at Emory University for two decades before he accepted the current position. Dr. Cai’s main research focuses on advanced endoscopy. He is active in the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, having served on the Annual Scientific Program Committee culminating as Chair in 2016. Dr. Cai has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, and authored 3 books.
