Intelligent Nursing is a core journal of the “Intelligent Medical Journal Series,” an international collection of interdisciplinary journals dedicated to advancing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and emerging technologies with medical and healthcare disciplines. The journal aims to promote innovative research that connects advances in nursing science with intelligent technologies and translates scientific and technological developments into improved nursing practice, education, research, and healthcare delivery.

    Intelligent Nursing welcomes high-quality fundamental, translational, and clinical research that advances nursing science and explores the development, evaluation, or application of intelligent and digital technologies in nursing and healthcare. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, AI and machine learning, generative AI and large language models, clinical decision support, health informatics, big data analytics, digital health, wearable and smart technologies, robotics, virtual and augmented reality, intelligent simulation, and other emerging technologies relevant to nursing.

    The journal particularly welcomes research addressing intelligent approaches to clinical nursing and patient care, including risk prediction and early intervention, personalized and precision nursing, clinical decision-making, patient safety and quality of care, chronic disease management, health promotion, symptom and risk assessment, nursing workflow optimization, and remote and community-based care. Research on nursing education and professional development, including AI-assisted learning, simulation, clinical reasoning, competency assessment, and digital and AI literacy, is also encouraged.

    The journal also welcomes research examining the broader scientific, ethical, methodological, and implementation dimensions of intelligent nursing, including data governance, privacy and security, algorithmic bias, explainability, human–AI collaboration, technology acceptance, health equity, and the evaluation and implementation of intelligent technologies in real-world nursing settings.
