Hepatoma Research [ISSN: 2454-2520 (Online), 2394-5079 (Print)] is a gold open-access, single-blind peer-reviewed international academic journal founded in April 2015 by OAE Publishing. The journal is dedicated to publishing basic and clinical research in the fields of liver cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and related liver diseases. Its scope covers the pathogenesis, diagnostic approaches, therapeutic strategies, and prognostic assessment of hepatic malignancies—such as hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma—spanning basic research, translational medicine, clinical practice, and public health.

The journal is led by Prof. Guangwen Cao as Editor-in-Chief, with Academician Jia Fan serving as Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Academician Gaojun Teng as Senior Academic Advisor.
