Biosketch:

Yan Zhang is a Doctoral supervisor, Postdoctoral mentor, and Visiting scholar at Yale University. She is the Vice Director of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and also serves as the Deputy Director of the National Clinical Research Center for Mental Disorders and the National Center for Mental and Psychological Disorders. She focuses on the pathological mechanisms, and precise diagnosis and treatment of major depressive disorder and anxiety disorder. Currently, Yan Zhang serves as the principal investigator for several major national research projects, including the “Brain Science and Brain-like Research” initiative under the “Science and Technology Innovation 2030” program and key projects funded by the Regional Innovation and Development Joint Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation. Over the past five years, Professor Zhang has published 24 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in internationally renowned journals, including Nature Communications and Psychological Medicine.
