Xu, Ben-Hong Ph.D.

Biosketch:

Benhong Xu earned his Ph.D. in 2017 from Peking Union Medical College (Institute of Basic Medicine, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences). He then joined the laboratory of Xifei Yang, Ph.D., at Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention for his post-doctoral training. Now, he has joined the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention faculty as an associate researcher in the Department of Toxicology. Benhong Xu mainly focused on the application of proteomics methods to the pathogenesis of neurological diseases. He is also investigating the relationship between environment risk factor and neurodegenerative disease. At present, he has published 22 papers on the internationally renowned journals such as Leukemia (IF=12.1) and Neurobiology of Aging (IF=5.1). His projects were surported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (210,000RMB), National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents (600,000RMB), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation funded project (80,000RMB), and the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation (100,000). He also won the second prize (R3) of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award.
