Biosketch:
Xiaoqun Wang received his PhD in molecular genetics from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy and was Postdoctoral Fellow, Research assistant professor at UCSF (2008-2012). Dr. Wang joined Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Science as Professor and Investigator in 2012, he joined the CAS Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology in 2015 as a senior Investigator. He joined the faculty of University of Chinese academy of Science, School of life science in 2015, and since 2018, he has been a Senior Investigator and Tenured professor of Brain and Cognitive Science at Institute of Biophysics, CAS. Dr.Wang contributed to the founding of the OSVZ progenitor in mice and discovery molecular and cellular mechanism of this neuronal progenitor. He elucidated cellular mechanism for brain development in human. His team recently developed mutli-omics techniques to explore the development and aging with no-human primate and human brain.
