Biosketch:

Dr. Yi Shen received her B.S. in Biotechnology (2003) in College of Life Sciences, Zhejiang University, and Ph.D. in Physiology (2008) at Department of Neurobiology, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. She received her post-doc training in Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 2008 to 2011. She has worked as an associate professor at Department of Neurobiology, Zhejiang University School of Medicine since 2012, and has been awarded the title of Honorary Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh for the excellent teaching in Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute. Her research interests focus on the pathological insults in synapse formation and functions by means brain immune activation in neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. In recent years, she has presided 1 sub-project of Science Innovation 2030–Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Intelligence Technology Major Project and 4 NSFC projects. She has published more than 10 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author in the well-known journals in the field including Nature Neuroscience, Nature Communications, Journal of Cell Biology and Glia.
