Deng, Hai-Teng Ph.D.

Professor, MOE Key Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Center for Synthetic and Systematic Biology, School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

 

Biosketch:

Haiteng Deng is a professor at School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University in Beijing. He is the director of the MOE Key Laboratory of Bioinformatics and the director of the Proteomics Center at Tsinghua University. He got his Ph.D. at Pennsylvania State University, and did his postdoctoral studies at University of Alberta and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He was a faculty member at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, University of Nebraska, and Rockefeller University. His research interests focus on (1) development and applications of proteomics, metabolomics, and chemical biology techniques; (2) understanding of the function and mechanism of redox biology in aging and neurodegeneration disease, and (3) development of new strategies to improve healthy life. Over the last five years, he has published 135 papers in peer reviewed journals.
