Biosketch:

Pr. Hugues Chabriat is Professor of Neurology at Paris 7 University. He heads the Department of Neurology at Lariboisière Hospital (AP-HP, Paris, France) and coordinates the National Referral Centre for Rare Cerebral and Retinal Vascular Disorders (www.cervco.fr) in France. He has coordinated several International and National research programs and international clinical trials for France. He is member of numerous committees and expert groups. He is currently Vice-President of the French Society of Neurovascular Diseases (SFNV). Pr Chabriat has long been studying small vessel disease of the brain, particularly CADASIL. He has a strong expertise in neuroimaging and exploring the relationships between cerebral lesions and the broad spectrum of clinical manifestations in SVDs. He has pioneered the use of diffusion imaging for assessing cerebral lesions and showed the variable impact of MRI cerebral lesions on cognition and disability in CADASIL and SVDs. His scientific production is documented by more than 230 peer reviewed articles.
