Biosketch:

Jizong Zhao, neurosurgery physician, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor, chief physician and doctoral supervisor of Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. Professor Zhao graduated from (formerly) Fourth Military Medical University. He is currently the Director of the National Center for Clinical Medical Research of Neurological Diseases, Deputy Director of the Expert Committee of the Beijing Brain Science and Brain-Like Intelligence Technology Research Center, Dean of the School of Neurosurgery at Capital Medical University, Deputy Editor in Chief of the Chinese Medical Journal, Editor in Chief of the English Edition of the Chinese Journal of Neurosurgery, and editorial board member of Journal of Clinical Neuroscience. He received 3 second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 first prize of Chinese Medical Association Science and Technology Progress Award respectively. In 2018, he received the Wu Jieping Medical Award.
